I Don't Blame You for Not Reading

So, you see a headline, whether it's online, in a magazine, in a newspaper, etc., and you gloss over the key words to make sure you want to read it. You have to make sure, 'cause otherwise you're wasting your life. You spend 20-minutes reading about who-knows-what, which time you could have spent waiting for nothing to happen and still glean the same exact amount of information. It's less humiliating to go into debt than it is to waste half an hour reading about something that has no relevance to anyone. As it is, I don't blame you for not reading this.

If you have read this far, I applaud you for your dedication to the headline. It's really a lure to get you this far, reeling in the fish I've just hooked in your eyes. If you haven't read this far, let this be a silent whisper hidden in the recesses of code you've left un-interrupted: I completely understand the distrust that has stayed your finger. (Unless that was creepy. I mean, let's be honest, there are few instances where whispering isn't creepy. And in those few instances, the whisper is just an invitation to be mocked. (As an example: I thought it would be sweet and romantic if I whispered, "I love you," into my girlfriend's ear, at the time. Apparently, what I thought would be sweet and romantic turned out to be breathy and obnoxious. I became aware of this when she very loudly breathed back into my ear, "I LOVE YOU, TOO.")) So, if you aren't reading this but you can sense the message, then kudos to you.

Let's be honest: most things suck, especially on the internet. Maybe 1%--maybe--of the movies, books, music, photographs, etc. are good enough to garner your attention. Maybe. That percentage seems high, really. Consider all of those that exist and how few of them are actually available for you to experience, and now consider how many of them you've experienced that you actually appreciate. It's a total crap-shoot! Even if you do appreciate one of them, there are still literally thousands of people that disagree. The level of success for any of the aforementioned is so slight, so miniscule, that any rate of success for its creator is virtually impossible. That being said...

I will be actively posting material on this blog, hopefully to the enjoyment of its readers. My goal is to entertain, even amuse, you with my thoughts and give you a glimpse into my reality. And now, here...we...go!
