Behold, I did move.
And in moving I did wax tired;
And I did lie down on the floor, and I did sleep for a time.
And on the third hour, I did raise my head.
Behold, I did see the Little One; and it did scurry about the floor on where I lay.
And I did seek to destroy the Little One, for its scurry was great and terrible.
And behold, I did chase the Little One, seeking its life that I might have peace.
But, it did cower under the face of sound and light.
However, in my patience I did turn my face and move to the door.
The Little One did see me gone, and it did return from under the face of sound and light.
But behold, it did see me lying in wait; and seeing me lie in wait, it did make a ferocious noise, one so great its body did lift itself as if off the floor.
I did put on my courage and approach the terrible creature.
Yet upon my approach, I did lose my interest in the Little One; but behold, there was a great and terrible darkness on the floor, its size being exceedingly the size of my left paw.
And our fight was fierce and did shake the very foundation of the floor; yea, even did the floor tremble at the greatness thereof.
But behold, we did fight, yet found neither victory nor surrender; and I did forget the cause of our battle.
Thus, I did seek another room in haste; and I did seek many rooms in haste.
Behold, I did slow to stop in the Box of Offerings, and offered up an sacrifice to be covered under the soil of clay and crystal; yea, I did cover it with such fervor that soil did spill to overflowing from the Box of Offerings.
And I did wax tired, my chest being great with breath and fur.
Yet did I see The Feeder, being one of many, and they did walk past my place.
I did approach the beast, and with my claws and teeth I did embrace one of their rods of flesh; and great was the fall thereof.
After I had placated The Feeder with my offering of their blood, I did petition them for food that I might eat of the food of my store of food.
The Feeder, one of many, who are withholding but gracious, did bring me the food of my store and filled the great basin that I might eat.
And after I did eat, I did drink.
Behold, with my full belly, I did move.
And in moving I did wax tired;
And being tired, I did lie down and sleep for a time.
